The National Botanical Garden “Dr. Rafael María Moscoso” is an institution with administrative and management autonomy, attached to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA), which is responsible for maintaining active scientific research aimed at the conservation and management of Dominican flora; promoting environmental education and encouraging recreation.
